Marvel's Avengers: 10 Tips To Help You Master Earth's Mightiest Heroes | Combat tips, endgame gear, and more

There are a lot of things this game doesn't explain. And it gets even more confusing when you get to the final game content. This might be a beginner's guide, but we cover every aspect of this game from start to finish. We will not talk about the events of the campaign, you you won't find story spoilers here. This is all about mechanics - and many mechanics only get confusing after you complete the main story.

Don the Quinjet and join your friends Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and more - we dive head first into one of the biggest games of the year.

1: Continue Your Combos - Eliminate Ranged Enemies First

As you progress in the game, you will encounter more and more enemies from a distance. There are boring flying guys, rocket turrets, snipers and more who love to tie you up a mile away while you're busy blasting hammers to the ground into oblivion with your fists fleshy hulk. Before taking on the thugs on the field, always take a quick walk around the room to see who you are missing.

There are three types of attacks in this game; blue, yellow and red. Red attacks must be dodged, and basically all ranged attacks are red. This means that they will interrupt your combos and make your life incredibly boring. Learning to locate drones, turrets, and other enemies from a distance is an important skill for large battles. Always take these guys out before you engage in a long fight!

Some characters like Iron Man are great at taking down these guys. Even Thor can bring down flying enemies from the sky, or Kamala with his ranged grip. Experiment with all the characters and find out which ones are the best at dealing with different threats.

2: You don't have to play co-op, all the game can be played solo

Solo players are not left out. There are many side missions that can be completed with friends, but you can play the entire game offline. You don't even need to see the Quickplay option! For any mission that can be played cooperatively, you will be assigned to AI partners. And these AI partners have a few distinct advantages.

First of all, the level of your AI companions doesn't matter. Equipment and perks don't matter. Whenever you use AI companions, they will automatically have all upgrades from the main unlock tree. The AI will always match your level. Curiously, Master and Specialty Tree unlock -do- matter. So if you're looking for an AI perk, you might want to upgrade your allies and unlock a few. Otherwise, there is no reason to level up your companions, even at the end of the game.

3: How to keep your heroes healthy

HP is a problem at the start and in the middle of the game. Some heroes like Thor and Iron Man get badly damaged pretty quickly if you're not careful, and healing only comes from a few sources. To stay alive longer in a big battle with weaker heroes, focus on performing Takedowns. Takedown attacks will always heal you - stun enemies and use heavy attacks or Finishers combos to increase your kill meter. Check out the tooltips on your skills to see which ones will help you.

Be on the lookout for useful gear with healing properties on a perfect parry. Literally all of the random healing properties on equipment will help a lot in staying alive. Some powers also provide additional protection - for example, Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor doesn't heal him, but it does provide overarmor that lets you take more hits. It's basically the same thing.

4: Anyone Can Try To Lift Thor's Hammer

Once you unlock the Abandoned Helicarrier as the Avenger HQ, you will be able to visit all of the big hitters on your team. Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and more are all taken care of, but the coolest little detail is hidden in Thor's bedroom.

Each character can interact with Thor's Hammer - he sits on the ground next to Thor's bed in the Helicarrier. Each character tries to pick it up and it gets a special little animation. The only character who can lift it is Thor himself, due to the magical properties that only a "worthy" person can lift the divine tool of destruction.

Well, there is an Avenger that can move it around a bit. When playing as Captain America, you will be able to lightly shake Thor's mighty hammer. As the noblest and bravest of the Avengers, it's no surprise that Captain America is worth it - and like his last appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, we might even see Captain America wielding the hammer full-time in a future. update. Fans of caps can dream!

5: Don't waste your precious resources on boosting until the end of the game

In the campaign, you will unlock the ability to "boost" your equipment or artifacts to unlock additional perks. It sounds great, but there's really no point in doing this early in the game unless you're really stuck on a level. And even if you're stuck, it makes more sense to level up in other ways. Raising items before end of game / power levels is basically worthless. You will just find better things and replace the junk files you just strengthened.

When you are in the final game, your standard levels are replaced with power levels based on your total gear score. We'll cover this in more detail in the next tip, but all you need to know now is that Gear Score / Power Level is very important, and boosting your Gear can give you a quick GS / jump. PL. In the final part, you'll want to boost your gear as soon as possible. Before that? Don't worry unless you really want to.
