Persona 5: Royal - 9 Tips to Become the Ultimate Phantom Thief | Beginner's Guide

These 9 tips are all about making the most of your time. I'm trying to avoid direct spoilers, but there are hints of future events in the guide below, so you might want to avoid if you're looking for a totally pure first run. Take your time, save often, and hang out with your favorite characters. You can't go wrong even if the game gets tough at times.

If you're looking for something more specific, check out the super handy tips in the full guide - you can increase your free time with a certain Confidant, amass SP restore items, level up your Baton Pass level, and much more.

How to unlock the new palace | How to get the wrong ending and the real ending

#1: In the real world, look for vending machines that sell SP catering drinks - then refuel! These machines fill up every Monday, so you'll want as many SP restorations as possible. The more SP you have, the faster you can complete palaces.

    # 2: The palaces are limited in time. Use your save slots wisely - save at the start of a new story event and keep that save just in case. You can't return to a palace once you've completed it, so be sure to scavenge every item and Will Seed before you go.

    # 3: The classification of your confidant teacher is important! In your free time, you can talk to different people - the more you visit, the more your social bond increases. For the teacher, the higher your rank, the more free time slots you will have. You can classify as much as possible at the end of July. Classifying it allows you to tour the palace and still have some free time at night, or craft items in the classroom. You will even have the option to create SP restore items!

    # 4Speaking of helpful confidants, visit Maruki, the school counselor, as often as possible if you are looking for a new experience in the third semester. Reach Rank 9 before completing the second semester story events for a remixed experience.

    # 5: In, Baton Pass is unlocked immediately for all playable characters. You won't have to unlock it. Baton Pass allows you to upgrade to different characters after gaining an extra hit after a critical hit or weakness. Visit the new Kichijoji and play darts with friends to increase Baton Pass benefits.

    # 6: You no longer need to craft ammo. Guns now automatically replenish bullets between battles, so you can drop them and spend more time upgrading your guns at the Gun Store - which unlocks later in the game. Fire to add status effects can be a useful way to fill in the gaps in your Persona elemental attacks.

#seven: There is a new character named Jose stalking the strange land of Mementos. This optional (mostly) randomly generated dungeon can be used to level up, and now you can upgrade a special shop by exchanging collectibles called Flowers and Star Stamps. Make sure you check each floor carefully! And don't miss the Seeds of Will in each palace - find all three to unlock special boss-based abilities.

    # 8: Bring a wide variety of elemental attacks! When you first enter a palace, your first objective is to uncover each enemy's weakness. If you improve your social bond with Akechi, you can acquire an ability to randomly reveal enemy weaknesses at the start of a battle. Learning weaknesses are essential for success!

    # 9: Don't waste your time! After unlocking a new palace, try to secure a route to the treasure as soon as possible - in as few nights as possible. Collecting SP items and increasing your social bond with the doctor will help. Once you've hit the target, you can use all of your time to increase your other social links. Keep in mind that some Social Link ranks are stuck on progression, so if you visit a character often and don't see any improvements, you might have maxed them out by now.
