Spellbreak tips and tricks

    Spellbreak tips and tricks

At the start of each game of Spellbreak with the class you choose, you also have a choice of three different talents, Mind, Body, and Soul. Each talent category has different talents depending on how you want to play. Not all talent is created equal, there are a few that stand out above the rest to help form the best trio of talent in the game.

    Best Spirit Talent:

The best Mind Talent is Harmony. Harmony, which is unlocked upon reaching level 6 as a Toxicologist, makes the player immune to Slow, Freeze, and Shock effects. It also reduces damage received by 5% / 7% / 10% / 15% depending on each talent level. Canceling crowd control effects is a huge plus for players looking to trap you in such spells like Lighitng Strike, Toxic Puddles left by Toxic Spray, and the Flash Freeze gel effect. Sprinkle damage resistance and you get a spirit talent that can't be beat.

    Best bodily talent:

The best bodily talent is cleaning. This talent is for players looking for a fight. With Savenging, whenever you exile an opponent, you restore 25/30/35/50 HP AND Armor. This is a huge advantage to have, especially with how often players are “third”. Having bonus health and armor is exactly what you need to stay in the game and make sure that after taking down an enemy you won't be downed yourself.

    Best Soul Talent:

If you're a team player, the soul talent you're going to want to acquire is Thirsty. At Rank 3 in Toxicologist, you will unlock Thirsty, which increases the speed of consumption of potions and shards by + 50/60/75/100% depending on the level. Not only does this increase the speed at which you use them, but Potions and Shards affect nearby teammates by 50% (within 15m). Having a group healing session after a tough battle, or having a quick recovery in the middle of a fight can turn the tide of any match. Whether it's solos, duos or teams, Thirsty can work in any game mode.

Talents can only go that far, but the runes found on the map can really change the outcome of any fight. The best runes are the ones that offer the most mobility.

Theft is by far the best Rune. This gives you the most mobility, allowing you to quickly engage or disengage from fights. It can also be used to shoot you straight into the air to gain positional advantage and watch enemies from above.

Teleportation is a close second to flying with similar engagement abilities. The difference is that this is mostly a horizontal moving Rune, but it is still possible to access large structures. Teleportation is also a great way to maneuver behind enemies and catch them by surprise with a teleportation feint.

Featherfall, which sends you straight into the air, gives you the air advantage. In the sky, take a look around your surroundings to spot enemies or crush enemies you are already fighting. Taking off can be dangerous, especially around Conduits and Frostborns, which have precise long-range abilities.

Wolf's Blood is a hunter ability. For players who want to search for enemies, this is the ability for you. This shows all enemies in a limited area and increases speed by +4. Using this in conjunction with a team is a solid move, but otherwise you're left immobile compared to a player using the flight. Use this Rune only in a team setting or if there are no other Runes available.

Invisibility is a useful ability with only one class, the Toxicologist. With the use of Outbreak, increasing Toxic Spray's damage by 75% when invisible, this is a formidable combination to face. As a toxicologist, use Invisibility to sneak up on your enemies and detonate them with a surprise attack. Otherwise, this ability does not provide enough mobility or tactical advantage as the players are still slightly visible, while being "invisible".

The last two runes, Springstep and Dash, are the worst runes in the game. If you have the choice between a Legendary Dash or Springstep and a common flight, choose the flight at each opportunity. The movement given with these two abilities is never enough to make a decent breakout or engagement, especially considering the given cooldown.
