There are a few musical highlights that I haven't personally experienced yet, so you won't find them on this list. The replacement for the orchestral soundtrack of Dragon Quest XI S is a huge improvement - but I haven't yet. played the game! The same goes for Sayonara Wilds Hearts, a fast paced, freewheeling pop video game that looks amazing, but I haven't dug into it yet. I will rectify these omissions very quickly in 2020.
Without further ado, here are my favorite video game tracks of 2019.
Devil Trigger (Devil May Cry 5)
A ridiculously over-the-top track that fits the style of. The song is ingeniously integrated into the gameplay - as your Style Rank increases, the melody increases to its climax. It's kind of like a rhythm game, but instead of matching buttons, you blast demons with massive combos.
Colored engine (FAR: Lone Sails)
arrived on consoles in 2019, and the soft music that accompanies your first steps on a long adventure is some of the most memorable in the game. As a lone driver of a one-wheeled vehicle, you'll often get a respite from the micromanagement of your train with a nice music track, stimulating you and making this game one of my favorites from this year and last year.
Daredevil (Ace Combat 7)
Each game has a truly exceptional track that's meant to get the most replay from me, and “Daredevil” is the biggest punch. This action-packed track puts you in the mind of a death-defying pilot, taking on an insurmountable drone threat. It's a perfect piece of explosive music, with all the pomp and circumstance that these dizzying games require.
Crazy Bunker (Katana ZERO)
Going from Heaven to Hell - is a twisted little indie pixel art adventure, and "Crazy Bunker" perfectly cuts through the drama of your nameless samurai's dilemma. Atmospheric, with an oppressive synth sound and a driving rhythm to push your samurai forward - no matter how many times you might die, there is something hopeful here. Try hard enough, and you might be able to make it through the level. A perfect match for.
Travelers (Outer Wilds)
Beginning with a simple banjo, instrument after instrument joins together to create a joyful sound that unifies lost travelers across the galaxy. In, you play as a lone astronaut, looking for a way to save your solar system. When all the planets line up, perfectly, your radio can pick up all the solo traveler songs, bringing them together into one. It's a perfect melancholy, and it's the only piece of music in the game, making it a welcome respite from the stillness of the universe.
