Batman Anniversary Event is live in Fortnite

The Batman Anniversary Event hosted by Fortnite celebrating 80 years of the Capped Crusader is live. Over the past few days, various sites across the web were gearing up for the Dark Knight birthday celebration. This Fortnite event may well be one of the biggest celebrations since. Epic Store offered six Batman games for free on their store, which lasts until September 26, 2019. Now Fortnite players will have to save Gotham City and help the Hooded Crusader.

“A rift zone brought Gotham City to Fortnite. Of course, it wouldn't be Gotham City if it weren't for wickedness with it. This POI allows you to be the hero the citizens of Gotham City need by giving you your very own Batman cape and the power of Glider Redeploy! "

As the official announcement, a familiar rift has brought Gotham City and its villains to the Fortnite universe. Like previous crossovers, this doesn't just mean playing on a themed map, but this limited-time event features cosmetics as well. The art style of the entire game evolves slightly to match that of Dark Knight… well, darkness, but the coldest darkness there is. The event also brings various Batman-themed weapons and items such as the Batman Grape Pistol Pistol, Explosive Batarang, Glider, and many more, summarized below. Fortnite V10.31 official patch notes.

The COO of DC Comics and his co-editor, Mr. Jim Lee, are well known to comic book fans and readers around the world. Jim and DC were a natural part of the project, and here's what he had to say about Batman's 80th anniversary and the Fortnite Event:

“It's the Dark Knight's 80th birthday and we wanted to do something really special for fans around the world for Batman Day. I can't imagine anything greater than letting the legions of Fortnite players take the hood and enter the world of Gotham City via Tilted Towers! Epic Games has really gone above and beyond to bring the world of Batman to Battle Royale! "

As many fans are no doubt aware, The Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and his first appearance was in 1939 in Detective Comics # 27. Over the years, the character has evolved a lot with all of his villains, and has moved on to many video games. However, this Batman Fortnite anniversary event could very well be the first time Caped Crusader has been featured in such a style, in a limited-time online gaming event, so enjoy it while it lasts, boys and girls.
