Persona 5 Royal - Guide to the Death Arcanum

One of the main features of Person 5 Royal that unite it with the other titles of the Shin Megami Tensei series are the so-called Personae, entities from popular stories and mythological tales that are grouped into 23 groups, the Arcana.

In this guide we will examine the exponents of the Arcanum Death, examining the general characteristics of the game and its origins.

The Arcanum Death

Persona 5 Royal - Guide to the Death Arcanum

This Arcanum is represented by a skeleton with a scythe that cuts the head of a King, and symbolizes presentiment, destiny, metamorphosis, regeneration and cycles.

By "death" we do not necessarily mean the physical one, but also the spiritual one, which can lead to a renewal of one's psyche.

The concept of death is very important within the entire Shin Megami Tensei saga, given the recurring theme of reincarnation and the constant alternation of cycles (the same name of the series, Shin Megami Tensei, means "new reincarnation of the goddess") .

The Personae belonging to this Arcanum are generally ultralombal entities or divinities associated with the very concept of death.

This very dark component gives her a predisposition to use cursed-type abilities, while presenting a weakness to the sacred one.

Individuals associated with the Arcanum of Death generally act in a detached way, but within themselves they aspire to a profound change that can make them live better with themselves.

The Confidante representing the Beyonder Death in Persona 5 Royal is Tae Takemi, doctor of a clinic who will give the protagonist various healing objects in exchange for help in his experiments.
