Pokémon GO Premier Cup - Best Pokémon for your team (January and February 2021)

Pokémon GO Premier Cup - Best Pokémon for your team (January and February 2021)

Which Pokémon can be used in the Premier Cup in January and February 2021

Premier Cup is essentially an alternative PvP offering that has the same restrictions as the current other league, which for January and early February 2021 is the Ultra League. So you can only use Pokémon with 2500 CP or less. Along with that, the Premier Cup excludes any Legendary or Mythic Pokémon, taking out some of the most powerful characters in the game for you and your opponents. So with that in mind, below you can see our picks for the best Premier Cup Pokémon for January and February 2021.

The best Pokémon for the Premier Cup in January and February 2021

Below is what we think should be the best Pokémon for your Premier Cup squad in the Ultra League window which begins January 25 and runs through February 8, 2021. Excluding Legendary and Mythical Pokémon changes a bit of the meta, reshaping the Ultra League's regular leaderboard tier lists.

Another difficulty is the fact that Premier Cup will allow XL Pokémon in January and February 2021. However, these are quite rare among most players, so we are not including them in the list below. If you have Enouch Candy XL to power it on, we recommend Abomasnow, Galarian Stunfisk, Jellicent or Mandibuzz.

For those who don't have one, you might also want to include Shadow Pokémon if you've removed Frustration from them. If so, any Shadow version should be better than a non-Shadow version, so use them on your team if you have them. If not, the list below offers some good starting points for building your team. We recommend that you choose one or two and see which types you may need to protect yourself with your second and third options.

And that's our pick for the best Pokémon for your team in Pokémon GO Premier Cup for January and early February 2021 during the Ultra League.
