Basic movement

Basic antennas

A basic antenna is done by jumping, tilting your car back 45 degrees, and holding your push button down at the same time. This will cause your car to skyrocket in the field, but it's not a skill new players understand how to use.

Demolition

A demolition is when you blow up someone else's car, and all you have to do is save your push and hit another car while going full speed.

flipping

The flip is performed when you press a direction on your steering mechanism and press your jump button twice at the same time. Your car will turn over and this is a useful skill to know in any situation. It's often used during last second kickoffs to make sure you're the one to hit the ball first.

Double jump

If you press your jump button twice, it will perform a double jump which can give you a bit more airtime. You can use this skill to block balls heading up the goal.

Some tips and tricks for playing Rocket League

Make sure you select the correct car, currently the best car is octane due to its hitbox. Hitboxes count more than you think, you can tap here to learn more about all hitboxes. Saving your boost is another thing you should be doing. Don't waste your boost when you don't really need it, if you need to reach your goal quickly just do double flips. Rotations are also important in the game, the point is that someone is always defending a goal. For example, a player passes to his teammate to score and then runs away towards the goal or half-court so that he can defend himself in the event of a counterattack.

Also, remember that team play is everything in this game and your goal is to win and not to score as many goals yourself as possible, don't be greedy for goals. Make sure to stop chasing the ball, if your teammates chase the ball you can only make the situation worse by chasing the ball and you will end up losing the game.

These are all the basic things you need to know to really understand the game, try not to let go of anger if your teammate does something stupid, just play. If you would like to see trading guides, click here.
