Assassin's Creed: Odyssey | Can You Tame Elite Animals?

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey | Can You Tame Elite Animals?

Within Assassin's Creed Odyssey there are special types of animals called "Elite Animals", which are the strongest types of animals present within the game's fauna.

These types of animals include some of the almost mythological creatures that appear within the game, such as the clay bull and represent the connection point between the stories told within Assassin's Creed Odyssey and the stories known through Homeric and non-Homeric epics.

Animals of such a high level exist throughout the game area and are usually part of a few sub-quests; once eliminated you can get legendary skins and experience points in quantity from them.

Many players, given the presence of these animals, wondered if by chance it would be possible within the game to reach a more peaceful solution such as domestication.

We will talk about them more precisely in this guide, created to find out if it is possible to tame elite animals.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey guide - can you tame legendary animals?

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey | Can You Tame Elite Animals?

The sad part of driving starts here: no.

You can't tame these types of animals.

This is first suggested by the description of the "Beast Master" skill which reads like this:

"tame the dazed wolves. You can only tame one wild animal at a time. Elite animals cannot be domesticated."

That is, at the moment it is not possible to domesticate any kind of elite animal within the title. This is understandable, however, as taming one would mean losing the exclusive reward needed to tame some particular pieces of high-level equipment.

Taming animals with such high warfare potential is also dangerous for the game's balancing refinement; however, getting help from a normal wolf is quite a relief, let alone getting help from an animal powerful enough to take on a dozen troops in complete solitude.

Probably the PC version of the title will be equipped with a mod created by the players to allow the domestication of such animals; if it won't get there you just have to cross your fingers and hope for the arrival of the feature within one of the DLC with which Ubisoft will enrich the game over the coming months.
