Everything we know about the new Mythic Pokémon Sword and Shield appearing in Coco

A new Mythical Pokémon is on the way. It's an exciting time for trainers around the world, as a new Mythical Pokémon will be joining the Pokémon universe with the release of the upcoming Pokémon The Movie: Coco. The new Pokémon will be unveiled on February 27, but we also get a glimpse of the new additions to PokéDex thanks to a tweet from Poke Beach.

We can make some assumptions about what the new Pokémon will look like thanks to this and the trailer for Pokémon The Movie: Coco. There appear to be similarities between the boy seen in the trailer and the figure pictured above, as the boy has something wrapped around his forearms, apparently in an effort to mimic the appearance of the new Pokémon. . The fact that the new movie also appears to be set, at least partially, in a jungle, strongly implies that the new Pokémon will be a Grass-type.

So far our money is on the Mythical Pokemon finding the child and helping raise it in the jungle, hence the older boy wishing to look like someone he considers a parent.

Something in form and pose involves a very intimidating figure as well, so could we see a Fighting-type Mythic Pokémon emerge after all this teasing? The only thing we know for sure is that the new Pokémon will appear in Pokémon Sword and Shield as well. So whatever it ends up being, you'll be able to catch it and train it, as long as you own the game. At the moment, it's unclear when the new Pokémon will be added to the games.

Pokemon the Movie: Coco is scheduled for release on July 10.
