How to get mystery gifts in Pokémon HOME

Pokémon HOME is where you can keep all the Pokémon you've ever caught in a Pokémon game and put them in one place online. You can transfer them from your Pokémon bank, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. You can have HOME Pokémon on your Nintendo Switch and your mobile device for iOS and Android, making it easy to track your Pokémon and even trade them with other users of the service. Another thing that you can earn through the mobile app is mystery gifts.

If you want to win mystery gifts, you have to do it through the mobile app. You will not be able to do this from Pokémon HOME on your Nintendo Switch console. To access it, you need to open your Pokémon HOME mobile app and navigate to the main menu. At the bottom of the screen, you should see an icon with several dashes. Click on it, and you should open up to four different options, and at the bottom left, you should see an option for mystery gifts.

In the Mystery Prizes section, you can see several different options available to you to earn Mystery Prizes. The first is a local event checker. By clicking on it, the mobile app uses your smartphone's GPS tracker to find out if there are any local events nearby where you can receive mystery gifts. If so, you should see them listed. Otherwise, none will appear here. You can also use a model number or code to earn a mystery gift, but this will likely be provided to you by The Pokémon Company during special events.

When you receive an exclusive Pokémon for HOME Pokémon, you must claim it through the gift box at the bottom. Click on the gift box icon and you should see the available Pokémon that you can claim. For those who have downloaded HOME Pokémon for their smartphones, you should go here to claim your choice of Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle, when you first opened the game if your HOME Pokémon boxes were too full.

These mystery gifts are something you can redeem for Pokémon that you can use in your Pokémon Sword and Shield game, or upload them directly to your Pokémon HOME boxes. If they go into your Pokémon HOME box, you can send them out to the world, or trade them with other Trainers on the platform.
