Obviously the platforms will tell you that they do this to protect the authenticity of the reviews and not to turn this activity into a business... but I think it also depends on them not wanting to share their profits with you.

Okay, okay, the platforms don't pay you and users don't pay to read your reviews. However, companies increase their sales.

#1 - Ask for a discount at a restaurant or hotel in exchange for a review.

This is the easiest one and I have personally tried it on many occasions.

Restaurateurs/hoteliers are almost all slaves to Tripadvisor, Booking and similar platforms because part of their turnover depends on these services.

1. a negative review can affect their rating very negatively;
2. few customers leave reviews.
