Since Pokémon Rescue Team Mystery Dungeon DX is a remake of the original games released for Nintendo Game Boy and DS almost 15 years ago, most of the recruiting areas and requirements have been postponed.
And for Mythical Pokémon like Jirachi, it's going to be a bit difficult to recruit it into your rescue team.
As in the original games, you will not be able to meet Jirachi during your normal game, as is the case with almost all Mythical and Legendary Pokémon in the game. Instead, you will have to complete a very difficult task in the game and defeat the Psychic / Steel type to even have a chance to recruit him.
Wish Cave is an in-game dungeon that you'll visit after saving Latias from Pitfall Valley in the post-match, and it's a 99-story dungeon with some pretty tough Pokémon that you'll have to fight. You will have to climb to the top to reach Jirachi and fight him.
Once you've defeated the Wish Pokémon, there are two outcomes that can occur depending on whether or not you have a Wish Stone in your inventory.
If you have a Wish Stone, Jirachi will not join your Rescue Team, but will instead grant you one of several wishes that will give you a boost in other areas of the game, whether that be giving you more money or by giving you a new Friend Space. Here are all the potential wishes you can claim while defeating the boss.
- Lots of Money: You receive all the money available in Wish Cave.
- Lots of Items: You receive all useful items from Wish Cave.
- A friend zone: you receive one of the friend zones that you do not yet have.
- More Strength: You receive an item that will increase your stats.
- Something Good !: A new Pokémon will join your Rescue Team, or your Rescue Rank will increase.
However, if you defeat Jirachi and are not in possession of a Wish Stone, Jirachi should ask to join your rescue team right after passing out. This takes away the possibility of having a wish granted, but the Mythic Pokémon will be on your team before clearing the dungeon.
