Mario Kart Tour launched on Android and iOS

The Mario Kart Tour release date is today, September 25! We finally get the fan favorite kart racing game for mobile phones, Android and iOS. We've been looking forward to it for two years since Nintendo announced it would force anyone who wants to run with their Smartphone, and it's now a reality. The game marks the first adaptation of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful series to mobile, it's free to play, and this is what it looks like:

The Mario Kart Tour beta test, which took place in May of this year, yielded some pretty positive results. Since then, there have been many rumors about the game, how it evolved, how it looked and others. Now we can break the cycle with this mobile edition of the game. Right off the bat, online reviews have focused primarily on adapting the entire franchise to mobile gaming. Everyone was concerned that the game would be toned down somewhat so that most smart phones could work. And, Nintendo did it the way they thought was right, as they kept the core gameplay with the cost of the visuals, but only as much as needed.

Mario Kart Tour Android on Google Play already has around 4 stars with the number of votes approaching 10k. It's still not a respectable sample, but the game is growing rapidly. On the iTunes App StoreHowever, the game already boasts nearly 20 votes and a staggering 000-star rating, making it a smash hit for iPhones and iPads. It looks like the higher system power of your mobile devices will affect your gaming experience, but it is yet to be seen how the game evolves.
