NBA 2K21: Best Playoff Stoppers Promotional Cards in MyTeam

As the NBA Playoffs are in full swing, the developers of 2K have released a limited-time promo for MyTeam featuring excellent performers from the playoffs from previous years. Several new promotional cards are now available, but which ones should you target? Let's take a look at our choices.

Ben Wallace

Former power forward Ben Wallace (93 OVR) had a great run in Detroit in 2004, helping the Pistons win the NBA championship in the 2003-04 season. The 6'9 "Wallace is now heading to MyTeam, and his big presence should be a big boost for your team. Wallace has excellent rebound attributes (94 REB), as well as a fantastic defensive rating (91 DEF). The big man won't be a force with his jump shots (76 INS, 44 OUT), however. Nonetheless, you do get a warrior in the paint, which should be helpful.

Dennis Johnson

PG Dennis Johnson (91 OVR) played a central role for the Boston Celtics 1985-86, helping them lead them past the Houston Rockets in the final to win the NBA Championship. Johnson can also play an important role in your MyTeam, thanks to his strong playing ability (85 PLY) and athleticism (85 ATH). Pair these traits with a fantastic defensive rating (90 DEF) and you may have a new starting point.

Bill Walton

Dennis Johnson isn't the only Celtics member from 1985-1986 to be stopped for the playoffs. NBA legend Bill Walton (89 OVR) may not have the defensive prowess (78 DEF) that Ben Wallace has in 2K21, but the center forward / power has a lot to offer. Walton is a monster in the paint (89 INS), and with his 6'11 ”frame, he should have very little problem betting against the big men on the inside. It should also be mentioned that Walton has an incredible bounce attribute (89 REB). It might not be as good as Wallace's rating, but it's not mocking either.
