Premiere Pro gets better with Productions

Premiere Pro gets better with Productions

Productions for Premiere Pro was designed with the advice of leading Hollywood directors and editorial teams.

Early versions of the underlying technology have been field tested in recent films such as Terminator: Dark Fate and Dolemite is My Name.

Special versions of Premiere Pro with Productions are now being used by film publishers such as David Fincher's MANK.

Productions allow you to manage larger projects

Productions allows you to divide large or complex projects into smaller pieces.

Therefore, the workflow of a film can be organized around reels and scenes.

Recurring productions can be grouped by season, allowing access to other productions to retrieve title sequences or audio elements, for example.

Agencies can assign a production to each customer, so they can quickly query and retrieve resources from existing projects.

Organized and synchronized

The ability to reference content for multiple projects allows you to reuse assets within Productions without creating duplicates. This allows each project to be consistent and fluid.

The new Production panel in Premiere Pro provides a command center for managing multi-project workflows.

All projects added to the Production folder become part of it.

Whether you are working on MacOS or Windows, any changes you make to this folder are reflected in Premiere Pro; changes in Premiere Pro are applied directly to the Production folder.

Collaborative work

Thanks to shared local storage, multiple editors can work on different projects within the same production.

Once someone starts working on a project, it is locked, so no one rewrites the work - even so, other editors can access the project and copy its contents, but not make any changes until the change is complete.

All projects in a production settings share, including memory cards. This means that preview files that have been rendered by an editor are available to all editors working on the project, facilitating smooth playback and saving time for the entire team.

The Production panel provides an overview of all projects and shows who is working on each of them, so that their progress can be followed.

Productions is included in the latest version of Premiere Pro. A hobbyist version of Premiere is also available.
