There is a wrinkle in the starting race that many players don't realize. The preset races change whether you take a 'slow' or 'fast' route - the seed will be different depending on whether you complete a level in under 30 seconds or over 30 seconds. It adds another layer of complexity to a fairly complex game, but a lot of the seeds we've listed below still have some good stuff in it, whether you're a slow player or a fast player.

How to unlock predefined races
Collect 16 additional characters to unlock more areas of the home hub. Once you've unlocked enough characters, go up to find the area to grab the races that have started.
Go into the room with the telescope, then go left to the surface of the Moon. You will be able to unlock races started on the spaceship.

There is a 1-2 store with Jetpack / Teleporter / Bomb Box if you beat 1-1 in more than 30 seconds. If you beat 1-1 in under 30 seconds, there's a gift box and a Kali altar on 1-2 - perfect for eggplant races.
This seed also has a 2-4 store in an inner cave that sells the Alien Blaster for $ 45 gold.

Shop 1-2 will still have a Mystery Box that contains a jetpack and a shotgun. Buy it or steal it!
