State of Decay 2 some preliminary advice

Let's start now our guide saying that State of Decay 2 we will make available 60 achievements, to which we add 2 more secrets, for a total of 62 achievements, which will ensure the achievement of the "usual" 1000 G Points. Most of these "trophies" will be obtained simply by performing the many, many activities available within the game, while others will require the completion of more specific actions. Fortunately, no goal is missed, and the difficulty rate of getting 1000 G-points in State of Decay 2 is not particularly high. However, like every game in this category, the time to "millare" this new Microsoft exclusive will not be indifferent. Our advice is, therefore, to enjoy the game: in this way, you will unlock a lot of achievements without even noticing it.

Afterwards, dedicate yourself to the achievements you missed and you will be able to get all the 1000 G points that the title provides. We remind our readers that the goal guide State of Decay 2 is under construction, so some items may still be "under construction". This will be one of the most important stages of your explorations in the world of State of Decay 2 . First, go to a hill, and from there "scan" all the buildings and constructions you will find. Immediately after you have "scanned" the various buildings in a given location, choose which of them to "visit" first. You will have to enter the chosen building from the door, if necessary by breaking through it, or from the windows, always taking care not to alert the nearby zombies. Once inside, you'll have to explore all the rooms, "raid" the most useful objects you'll find and, of course, kill all the zombies you come across. Repeat this procedure with twenty-five buildings and the achievement will be yours.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Sorry about the party.
You destroyed an infestation. [G points obtained: 10]

We refer the description of this goal to the achievement "The Night of Judgment".

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

The Night of Judgment
You have destroyed 10 infestations. [G Points Gained: 20]

The infestations are nothing more than huge groups of zombies, which will appear completely randomly on the game map, both in open places and, for example, inside buildings. The number of undead present in an infestation is higher than that of a horde, and will also include one or two Screamers. You'll always have to keep the infestations under control, as their growth will not only decrease the morale of your characters, but may also push the zombies to attack your base. Precisely for this reason, achieving this goal will be of vital importance for your survival in State of Decay 2 .

You can find the infestations both from the map and from the various outposts you create. The advice, of course, is always to kill the Screamers before all the other zombies, so that they can't "call for reinforcements". Since the undead won't be who knows how far away from each other, with grenades you should be able to mow down a large number of them in a short time.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Flash Mob
You destroyed a horde. [G Points Gained: 10]

We refer the description of this objective to the achievement "Crowd control".

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Crowd control
You have destroyed 25 hordes. [G Points Gained: 20]

The hordes are groups of 5 to 20 zombies, moving together and attacking as if they were one unit. For beginner players, meeting a horde will often mean having to change your path, as a clash with large groups of zombies is never a great idea. You'll be able to recognize the presence of a horde thanks to a white icon on your map, shaped like a man and from which an orange triangle emerges, which identifies its field of vision. If you are noticed by the horde, the zombies will start chasing you wherever you go, and it will not be easy to lose them. Usually, the hordes will attack enclaves, or focus on survivors who have the recklessness to shoot at them, attracting their attention.

The hordes, usually, will tend to move along the streets, but may also come across the various wooded areas. But let's get to the heart of the matter: how do you shoot down a horde? You can decide to keep them at a safe distance with firearms, but you run the risk of attracting more zombies, or face the undead in close combat. In the latter case, some characters will be much more suitable than others. Keep in mind that each horde will travel to a destination and, if it reaches it, it will start an infestation. In case you destroy a horde, you will increase your Moral and Influence; in case you fail, your morale will be greatly reduced. Destroy 10 hordes to unlock the target.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

The Road Warrior
You have killed 50 zombies with the door of your car. [G Points Gained: 10]

Here we come to one of the most "picturesque" and entertaining achievements of the game. To get it, you'll first have to get a vehicle and, once you get it, launch yourself in the direction of a group of zombies with the doors open. In this way, you'll mow down even more undead. Always pay attention, of course, to the amount of damage the vehicle should suffer and the level of petrol in it, to avoid running out of fuel in the most unpleasant of situations. Kill 50 zombies in this way and you're done.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Blind Justice
You killed a savage. [G points obtained: 15]

Savages are the most dangerous types of zombies a survivor may encounter. These undead, in fact, are damn fast and, if caught under their feet, can lead us to certain death. Once they see us, these zombies will scream and start running towards us on all fours. Taking refuge in a building won't be very useful, as the savages will be able to knock down the doors with a single shot. The best way to kill this type of opponents is to face them in numerical superiority: in case they stun a character, in fact, our allies will always be able to take him away from us before he can launch his attack. We recommend the use of melee weapons: always try to hit him and finish him off when he is stunned. Kill one of them and you will have achieved the achievement in question.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Barley and Blueberries Expired
You've killed a swollen. [G points obtained: 15]

The Tumefatti are a type of zombies that will create many problems even when we kill them. The characteristic of these undead, easily recognizable because of their swollen abdomen, in fact, is that they can emit a cloud of toxic gas that will significantly decrease both our Stamina and our Health. Precisely for this reason, we will have to face them with great caution, because while it is true that these attacks will hardly kill us, they could be a death sentence if we were facing a horde. From this point of view, as it is easy to understand, hand-to-hand combat will be suicide: shortly after the first attack, in fact, the swollen swamp will explode, causing the toxic cloud to explode in the surrounding areas for about 30 seconds.

The advice that we have to give you is to hit them with firearms, so as not to get close and be run over by its poisonous gases. But remember that, unlike what happens with other zombies, the blow to the head is not an ideal option: in this way, in fact, you won't kill the undead, but you'll make him fall into a state where he will continuously emit gas, exploding as soon as a survivor approaches. Kill a swollen person and you've got the target.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Feel like beating
You killed a colossus [G Points: 15]

The giants are undoubtedly the most dangerous zombies of State of Decay 2 . You will recognize them without too much difficulty, as they will be much bigger than a common undead, standing out their "obesity" and their small head. The giants are real tanks: not exactly very fast, but with very high attack and health statistics. Unlike other zombies, they cannot be hit by a vehicle, and if you try to do so you will only end up damaging your car. The ideal advice to take down a colossus is to face it with firearms, always keeping you at a safe distance. You won't need a headshot to take him down, but it will certainly be the most effective type of shot against these purulent beasts.

In case you run out of ammo, you can always decide to make a run for it. The giants are very slow and once you're out of their field of vision, they won't chase you anymore. In case there is a building nearby, you can always use it as a shelter: this type of zombies, because of its huge size, will not be able to pass through doors and/or windows, but you can shoot them. Kill a colossus and you will have achieved the achievement in question.

State of Decay 2: How to Get All the Achievements Guide

Men without hats
You shot a helmet off an armored zombie's head. [G points obtained: 10]

Achieving this goal will not be easy at all. First of all, you'll have to find armored zombies, distinguishable thanks to the helmet they wear. It is almost indispensable, for this objective, to act alone, since your allies could attack the armored zombie and kill it before you have time to achieve your goal. You'll find this type of zombie in all the areas that contain the word "military" in them, although, of course, they won't be alone. Before launching yourself into the mission, you'd better make firecrackers, or any object that can make noise, using it to distract the zombie in question.

To complete the task, you'll need to equip your character with a rifle with which you can take aim. For this very reason, you'll do well to avoid shotguns and automatic rifles. Once you've identified the armored zombie, launch the firecracker and wait for the undead to get close, then approach, aim and shoot the helmet. It will take about six or seven shots to blow him away, but don't worry: you won't be able to kill the zombie by hitting him over the head until you've blown his headgear away.

In case you manage to destroy an infected cluster, you will automatically take out all the undead in that category. However, destroying one of these hearts won't be easy at all: you won't just need a few gunshots, but you'll have to use explosives, taking care to stay at a safe distance, to avoid being run over by clouds of toxic gas that the infected clusters will emit.
