Where to find wheat in Genshin Impact

Where to find wheat in Genshin Impact

Wheat is an extremely important element in Genshin Impact when it comes to cooking, and you'll need it to make some of the games more complex. You don't use wheat itself when baking, you turn it into flour which can then be used to make food.

Food is vitally important as it will give you powerful buffs and also heal you from any damage you take during battles. Wheat can also be quite difficult to find early in the game as it will drop randomly during cleanup, but luckily there is a place in the early hours of the game that will yield a lot of wheat.

In Springvale, west of Windrise and south of Mondstadt, you will find a dangerous area called Drunken Gorge. It used to be a bustling shopping area, but various monsters and creatures ended up setting up camp here and taking over.

If you head to the gorge and search all the crates, barrels, and old merchant carts, you'll find plenty of wheat. Once you have the wheat, you will need to turn it into flour, and to do this you will need a pot that will be marked with a spoon and fork symbol on the minimap. You can actually find a small cooking fire right at the Springvale end of the gorge.

Interact with the cooking fire, then move on to the second tab, called Process. Click on the wheat in the list of ingredients and you can turn it into flour. All ingredients have a timer for processing, which can last up to a minute or more. You can queue lots of items to process, then play another part of the game and come back later to collect all of your processed ingredients. Just interact with the cooking fire, go to Process, then hit the guest button to get your ingredients processed.
