    Star Wars: Squadrons was first revealed in a leak on Microsoft's Xbox homepage, and was backed by publishers EA who teased a reveal on June 15, leading to additional gameplay details during EA Play's live broadcast on June 18. Leaks and rumors about the dog fighting game broadcast online. What we do know is that the game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Will these players be able to play against each other online?



    Supposedly, there are rumors circulating that the cross-play will be available at launch for Star Wars: Squadrons. So far, the only information we have revolves around these rumors and potential leaks regarding the title. The game has a fall 2020 release date, bringing it to market just ahead of the release of next-gen consoles, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

    Considering the rumors and the available date, the possibility of cross-play between consoles and PC gamers would make sense. Supposedly, not only will the game have cross-play capabilities for all gamers, but it will be available for PC gamers to use in VR. You can hook it up to any of the VR systems available in Steam and Origin, and find yourself in the cockpit of your favorite iconic starfighter from the Star Wars universe. The rumors did not mention which virtual reality was supported for console gamers, or when it would become available.

    At the moment, there are only rumors and small leaks coming out regarding Star Wars: Squadrons. The first trailer for the game releases on June 15, and after that EA will have more to say about the title on June 18, when they will have an official discussion about it during their EA Play live stream.
