If you are unfamiliar with tabletop role-playing games, there are a lot that you might not know. Do you know what DC is doing? How is a focus spell different from other types of spells? How is blunt damage different from piercing damage? It only scratches the surface.

10 useful buttons and features the game can't explain
# 1: Potions can be cast for quick healing
Potions aren't just for drinking. You can throw them at your allies for a quick healing infusion - but broken glass does damage, so don't use this technique if your ally is at death's door. You can also throw potions on the ground to create a small healing pool that your party members can support.
# 2: Do you have the strength? You can even throw your teammates (or enemies)
Seriously. If your strength is high enough, you can throw your teammates! When pushing isn't good enough for enemies, just pick them up and throw them over the ledge for a quick kill.
#3: Right click to inspect and learn the secrets
Right clicking to inspect is useful for examining the world. If there is a weak wall, be sure to inspect to see what kind of damage you need to apply. Force or bludgeoning damage will knock down walls, while piercing or slash damage won't help at all.
# 4: Familiar Discovery spell draws enemies to their fate
Finding a Familiar summons a Familiar you can drive around - and it's a great way to lure enemies into beneficial combat areas. Summon a familiar and lure enemies under a roof so you can shoot them easily. The distraction is simply incredibly convenient.
# 5: use the environment to your advantage
If you've played previous Larian games like, you know the environment is your best weapon. Pushing enemies off ledges, luring them into traps, or setting off explosive barrels - these are all deadly strategies for tough fights. Do you have a poison potion? Throw it to the ground in a choke point and defend that position, poisoning any arriving enemies as they try to reach you.
# 6: note the different types of spells
There are two types of spells in - snapshot and focus. Instant spells are cast immediately upon use, but focus spells take some time. If you are attacked while trying to summon a focus spell, you will need to pass an ability check or your spell will be interrupted. Embarrassing, but an important detail to follow.
# 7: Choose these classes for easier time
Martial classes are the easiest to use - all classes that focus on armor, strength, and a lot of big guns. They are not necessarily the most OP, but they are simple and straightforward. Warlock is the easiest class to understand if you are targeting magic users. If you want a bit of both, the Cleric is a killer martial class with healing magic. It is always useful
# 8: don't spam these spells - use other methods
There is no magic reserve of MP in. Instead, everything works with an insanely long cooldown. You will need to take short periods of rest to recover some abilities and spells, and others will only be recoverable after a long rest in your camp. Try saving spells for situations where you are outnumbered or in a tough fight. Use alternate solutions for battles - like chasing enemies off ledges. Always a good strategy.
# 9: Thieves Can Kick With These Tips
Thieves are generally pretty good when it comes to bows and arrows, but they're also close range killers. If you're in a fight, you can jump (Free Action) to dodge reaction attacks and retreat, or you can sneak in on your turn and hug an enemy's back for a sneak attack. It seems odd to activate mid-fight, but it can work.
With bows, you can immerse your arrows in fire to set them on fire and burn enemies. Also try to take heights. You will get bonuses for accuracy and range. Also, if an ally is standing next to an enemy in combat, you will have a better chance of hitting that enemy. The same goes for magic users trying to cast spells.
# 10: See your character's turn order? You can swap this around
In combat, you can actually reverse the order of your characters' turns - but only if the turns are together. If you have three party members taking turns at the same time and then an enemy after that, you can swap your party member's turn as you wish before the enemy's turn - the same is true if you don't. 'have two characters in turn. It's very helpful, and I don't think it's explained anywhere!
