Code Vein All types of weapons

Code Vein has five categories of weapons. These categories determine how weapons work with gifts and blood codes. There is no significant variation between the weapons in each category. The Code Vein Wiki covers both the categories and the weapons you will find in the game.

One-handed swords. These weapons are balanced with a fast attack and close range. These work well for most blood codes. Weapons in this category are pipes, swords and broad swords.

Two-handed swords. Unlike their one-handed counterparts, these have long range and greater damage, but they sacrifice speed. This category is built around large swordfish.

Spears, halberds, and arms have a very long range, are two-handed, and deal great damage. If you're surrounded, turn to one to make sure you hit any enemies around you. As the name suggests, you will find spears, halberds, arms, axes and a single sickle.

Two-handed hammers. Hammers are slow and heavy, but they have good range and good damage. Weapons here include hammers and axes.

Bayonet rifles are the last category. These are the long range; Thin bladed guns versatile enough to let you shoot and shoot, however you prefer. Their puncture and nick damage are low compared to other blades, so it's best to stay where they excel.

Blood codes combine with weapons. Equipping a weapon that doesn't work with your current Blood Code will slow you down and hamper your fight. If you choose a weapon that works with the blood code, your skills will shine and you will find the fight easier. So while swinging an ax all the time might sound satisfying and fruitful, if you're running like a thrower, this ax won't do much for you.
