Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Night Mode Maps and What We Know

The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game has launched and players are eager to browse through the game's many multiplayer modes. They represent the culmination of franchise history, featuring iconic maps, casualty streaks and weapons. A new aspect of this year's game was the night mode maps. These maps were going to be completely in the dark, forcing players to rely on night vision goggles and stealth tactics. At the moment, they are not in the game. Here's what we know about them and when we can expect them.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Night Mode Maps and What We Know

Night map modes were going to be in the main rotation of the game. They were heading to existing map models in the game, which would take place in the middle of the night. These modes required players to use different tactics than they normally used during the day, such as ensuring they had night vision and special weapon attachments.

However, for those who have been eagerly awaiting night mode, they are not in the game at the moment. Infinity Ward, at the last minute before the game's official launch, removed the cards from the rotation. They didn't provide any reasoning for this, but don't be too disheartened. In an official tweet, Infinity Ward explained what they have in the works.

Although they are out of the game at the moment, the Night Mode maps will revert to a date unknown to the main game. They are going to be given a unique playlist for players who want to browse them. They are not going to be played alongside the other cards of the day.

Why would Infinity Ward do this? This is probably because of the player feedback they received when Modern Warfare beta released. Most of the players who took part in the beta were playing night mode maps alongside daytime ones. The two maps play differently, with players using different guns, weapons, and gear in night mode than they would during daytime.

At the moment, we don't know when we expect to see the Night Mode cards return to the game. Infinity Ward is probably reviewing these cards, rebalancing them, and trying to find the right time to throw them away. new. Again, when they come back they will have a separate playlist. So when you see them in a new set of patch notes, be sure to have your One-Time Loadout ready for it to fight in the dark.

Good luck there, Call of Duty Fans.
