Crash Bandicoot 4: It's Time - How To Beat N. Tropy

How to beat N. Tropy

The fight against N. Tropy is rather interesting, because it is divided into several parts. It starts in a rail grinding section where you have to collect items that eventually require you to go in and out with Lani-Loli to grab some of them. As long as you have a certain amount at the end, you can move on to the next round.

In this area, you will notice that N. Tropy currently has a health bar with two pieces. You don't have control of Akano here, which allows you to use the purple tornado to jump through a bunch of platforms in space. However, N. Tropy will try to hit you with laser beams here, so avoid them at all costs.

Eventually you will reach a platform where you will switch to the Kapuna-Wa mask which allows you to slow down time. This is necessary to cross the next platforms in what almost looks like Frogger. You will notice that once the platform is stationary, this is the one you want to aim first. Once you're there, the others will move on. On top of that, N. Tropy will start aiming at you again with his laser. This laser will completely erase whatever platform you are on, so you need to keep moving and be fast. It will probably take you a few times to familiarize yourself with slowing down over and over on moving platforms until you finally get to where you can see N. Tropy.

At this point, they will activate the safety lasers outside of the area they are in. You have to go to the left and spin attack the object shooting the red beam, then start heading to the left. At this point you will have access to the Ika Ika mask which allows you to control gravity, which you will have to use to move up and down to hit the red beam objects that get in your way while avoiding the blue orbs coming at you.

Before too long, you'll meet the classic male N. Tropy from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped who'll instantly kill you if you hit him. At this point, start running to the right and hit the objects with the red beam to keep moving as it chases you. You'll have to change gravity over and over again here, while also making sure to avoid the lasers in the middle thrown at you. Head to the end and N. Tropy will lose half of his health.

You will eventually reach the female N. Tropy who is new to the game from another dimension which will force you to go back to the left. This time they team up and the male version will put the orbs in your way for you to have to jump. Continue to turn left as before while avoiding the two versions of N. Tropy's traps. This one is definitely a lot harder than before because it's faster and you don't have time to make mistakes. Before long you will reach the final beam and it will hit N. Tropy and officially beat them both.
