The dock is as fundamental a part of modern basketball as any other aspect of the game. So you can rest assured that skills are well represented in NBA 2K20. There are two essential elements of temper that you should understand before attempting to jump into the game.
NBA 2K20 – Comment Dunk
First, not all ballers are created equal. Some are simply better than others. How well your player dunks will depend on their stats, so don't try to dunk a player who just isn't equipped to do so.
Second, there are two types of dunks in NBA 2K20, at random, or whatever you specifically decide to do. If you get close to the hoop (X on Xbox, Square on Playstation) the player will choose a random shot, usually a dunk or a layup. You can, of course, choose a specific type of by entering certain commands.
Dominant Dunk
This will use the player's dominant hand to go for the dunk. Just hold RT and press towards the dominant hand. You need to know which hand is the dominant hand, so study your players well.
Casual dunk
As above, hold RT and press towards the players. What will influence the decision to acquire a dominant hand or a casual dunk is the positioning of any defensive player between you and the hoop.
Two-handed dunk
Hold RT and press the right stick to get a two handed dunk.
Flashy Dunk
Hold RT and press the right stick to add a touch of light to your dunk.
