Improving your character in Cyberpunk 2077 can be a bit overwhelming. There are XP and Street Cred you need to worry about alongside all of these other stats you need to keep in mind. In general, it's best to just play through the game and see what happens; your character is formed around your actual actions rather than a specific intention. But often it doesn't work and you have to focus on a particular item or statistic and level it up quickly. Fortunately, with Athletics and many others, there are quick and easy tips for doing this.



For athletics all you have to do is become the most aggressive player you can imagine. And I don't mean shoot everyone you see. No, the best way to level up in athletics is to just start hitting and doing other athletic activities all the time. These include the punches mentioned above, but also thrills, slips, climbing and jumping. The more you do these actions, the more you will level athleticism. The key is just to make sure you're spending your stamina.

And the best part is, you don't really have to do this with a purpose or intention. Punch nearby walls or just the air around you. Jump as you walk around Night City or climb any ladder you see. You can also focus on dodging during combat or just sprinting as much as possible. It doesn't really matter what you do as long as you use your stamina, because that's what will actually improve athleticism. Just make sure you do this, as the full athletics upgrade gives you great benefits. Here's what you get on each level.
