Everything We Know About Every Starfighter Class In Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars: Squadrons will be full of decisions to make when it launches on October 2. Not only will you choose whether you want to fight for the New Republic or the Empire, but you will also have to decide which of the game's Starfighters to pilot.

There are four Starfighter Classes to choose from, and each faction has its own unique Starfighter within that class, which has its own strengths and weaknesses. Buckle up and let's take a look at each Starfighter class and starship.

Star Wars: Squadrons Fighter Class

The first class available to you is the Fighter class. They are the most balanced ships in Star Wars: Squadrons and as such do not excel in any area.

While they don't have distinct strengths or weaknesses, Starfighters can adapt to any situation. You can fight in aerial combat where other ships cannot, they are nimble enough to dodge enemy projectiles, they can take a hit without getting too much damage and are great for newcomers to the game.

The Fighter Class includes the iconic X-Wing and TIE Fighter ships that Star Wars fans know and love.

Star Wars: Classe Intercepteur Squadrons

The Interceptor class is made up of the A-Wing and TIE Interceptor ships. These are best used by players who want to be in the thick of the action and the fiercest aerial combat of any match.

With exceptional speed and maneuverability, Interceptors will get you in and out of fights quickly, and you'll need to have quick reflexes to become experts at piloting them. Interceptors can deal tons of damage, but their lightweight hull means they can't take too much heat.

Star Wars: Squadron Bomber Class

Y-Wings and TIE Bombers make up the Bomber Star Hunter class. These slow, bulky fighters make easy targets for interceptor and hunting ships, but when they slow down, they compensate in power and damage.

Star bombers are your go-to ships for bombing enemy ships, and they can defend themselves in individual battles with their powerful lasers. They might seem easy to pick out, but don't be surprised when you try to take down just one.

Star Wars: Squadron Support Class

The latest duo - U-Wings and TIE Reapers - form the Supporting Starfighter class. These ships are responsible for refueling and repairing friendly ships, so don't underestimate their importance in battle.

Their towing beams are vital in slowing down and restraining enemy ships for others to target, while their ability to drop space mines can kill inexperienced enemies. With the ability to deploy turrets as well, Support-class fighters compensate for their low laser damage power and slower top speeds with their utilities.
