How to beat the Nivalis boss fight in Nexomon: Extinction

As a first test, Nivalis is a brutal realization that you cannot rush the process of being a great tamer. The Red-Eyed Giant White Crab is the game's first tyrant boss battle, which can be started by reaching the end of the Frozen Caverns - a location south of Parum. Its inclusion is part of the plot advancement as Videll is guided through the caves. While you might just want to hit the crab a few times to see the next cutscene, there are only a few effective ways to beat Nivalis.

Catch and upgrade effective Nexos

It must be said that it is a waste of time to go in and fight to see if your underpowered monsters will win. They probably won't. This is mainly because Nivalis is a high level type of water which is mainly affected by electrical attacks. There aren't many electric types to catch at first, but if you head to the grass field near the south side of Parum, you'll find a Scaratic and a Chirrent in the wild. We believe that catching both will dramatically increase your chances of defeating the Tyrant - because we won't get the job done.

Then you'll want to take them to level 12, especially Scaratic. Scaratic unlocks the almighty Super Punch after that, and it's a move that deals around 15 damage to Nivalis, while sacrificing only 10 stamina. Nivalis will usually respond with Slash, which will do around 7-12 damage. As you should with any tyrant fight, refuel around five ethers and five potions. It may sound like a lot, but you are virtually buying guaranteed success.

Cores also make it a breeze

Another feature of the game that can help you tremendously is applying hearts to your Nexomon. These hearts will permanently increase certain stats of a particular monster. You don't need a specific kernel, but an XP kernel could help you progress before combat. You can do this by heading to the Northwest Parum Synthesis Center to shuffle your shards for the hearts.

The Tyrant's level is never revealed, but later it is revealed that the Nexomon is a level 14, if that helps you gauge what you need, ahead of time. We think it will take around 20 minutes to prepare for this fight, and that's not bad at all. Try to end Nivalis before parading around the map. Once you've won, you'll be able to use the Warp Stones for quick movement, which will get you to each main location in seconds.
