Blocking game requests on Facebook can be a lifeline especially for those with a huge friend list!

One of the most annoying things of the social network are in fact the requests - often unwanted - for games and applications: all your contacts suddenly want to invite you to share hours and hours of fun with them, perhaps for help them unlock that episode and earn lives for that game.

This would not be annoying if it happened in total independence and only if you also play a certain title, however - unfortunately - Facebook allows you to send invitations for games and applications practically the entire contact list, unless you have completely blocked the "applications" platform - which I personally do not recommend, as it would also make apps that do not belong to the website unusable - for example Facebook for mobile phones.

Fortunately, however, with a minimum of effort, it is possible to block requests for games on Facebook both by blocking the game itself and by the user who sends the request, which is particularly useful if you have contacts who spend their day playing Candy Crush Saga and they do nothing but literally bombard you with requests.

From the navigation menu on the left select the item Toys and, from the page that appears, click on the tab Activities. Alternatively you can go directly to This Page to access game activities.

At this point you have two ways to block game requests on Facebook: you can choose whether ignore requests received without blocking neither apps nor users, if permanently block game-related requests or whether to block permanently requests sent by a particular contact.

By clicking on “Ignore all” in correspondence of a game you can ignore all requests received up to that point e clear the list of pending requests, without blocking anything else.

By clicking on the "X"At a contact who sent you the request for the game you will be able to access a second panel which will allow you to either block all application requests both of block all requests from that user.

Blocking requests for a game will block completely the game itself, so no one will be able to invite you or send requests for the use of the game, which in turn will no longer be able to access information about you: this means that you will no longer be able to use the game.

By blocking invitations from a contact, however, this will no longer be able to invite you to use any type of application; nevertheless, contact it will not be removed from your friends list nor will it suffer a real user "block"; the only limitation will concern, in fact, the requests for applications. For the rest you can interact with the contact exactly as you did before.

Clearly it is possible to go back and cancel the blocks set by going to the appropriate Privacy settings page (Settings> Block): from the Block of invitations to applications you can unblock people previously blocked, while through the Block of applications you can unblock blocked applications.
