Pokémon Sword and Shield marks the first appearance of Crèmy and Charmilly in the Pokemon series. The specificity of Crèmy lies in the fact that its development can take eight different forms. To get these forms, you need to create a special sequence for each of them. Fortunately, we've listed them all below.
How to evolve Crèmy into Charmilly in Pokemon Sword and Shield
The first thing you will need is some special candy. To get the candy, go to one of the Battle Cafes in the Galar region and face the Headmaster. When you beat him, you will get a sweet reward. To evolve Crèmy, you will need one of the following:
- Berry Sweet
- Sweet clover
- Sweet flower
- Sweet love
- Soft ribbon
- Star sweet
- Sweet strawberry
It's not as easy as just having one of these candies, however. You must also rotate your character in specific directions and for certain lengths of time. The time of day is also important. The candy that Crèmy is holding will dictate the decoration of Charmilly's head, while the rotation will determine the color.
The complete list of forms and the direction to obtain them are as follows:
- Vanilla Cream - Turn clockwise during the day
- Matcha Cream - Turn clockwise overnight
- Mint Cream - Turn counterclockwise for more than five seconds at night
- Lemon cream - turn clockwise for more than five seconds at night
- Salted cream - Turn counterclockwise at night
- Ruby Swirl - Spin counterclockwise for more than five seconds during the day
- Caramel Swirl - Turn counterclockwise for more than five seconds at night
There is another form, Rainbow Creme, but it's random, with no specific way to get the evolution. You'll know you've completed the sequence successfully when your character uses Leon's signature Champion Pose; then, the evolution will start.
Remember, the softness that Crèmy holds only dictates the decoration of the head. The importance of the sequence of movements and the time of day is that it dictates the form.
