    There are few endgame materials as important as gems in The Survivalists. They can only be found in a dangerous biome and are needed for repairs on high level tools or to create fast travel points on the map.

    Gems are only found in the Volcanic Biome. You'll need a raft, sail, and several glass jars of cold water - to reach a volcanic island, build the raft and sail. Due to the procedural nature of the game, we cannot say where to go. Pick a direction and continue.



    Volcanic biomes are dangerous. Strong enemies, more Orclings, and high temperatures will send an unprepared adventurer away. Put some storage chests on the raft and have a monkey carry one along with food, rescue weapons, and cold water. The water will provide a heat buff. You can tolerate heat for a limited time without harming your health. The heat will only bother you on the black sand parts of the beach. They are indicated on the map. If you can walk around them, you can avoid damaging heat.

    Gemstones are shiny red rocks, knots are black, with red stones coming out of them. Lightweight picks are a good tool to use because of their durability. Gemstone knots are strong and will take more hits than metallic or gold knots. This will wear down the durability of the tool. The nodes drop around three to four gems each, so be prepared with backup weapons.

    Gems are needed for teleporters and high quality tool repair inside vaults. Teleporters allow you to quickly travel to any other teleporter on the map. You will need to place the teleporters yourself and build outposts around them to secure them. They are costly in res
