How to play as Topnotch in Rocket Arena

Most of the characters fight it off in Rocket Arena's crater is young, lively, and Instagram ready. Topnotch may have turned gray a long time ago and may need a jet pack to get around, but he's arguably the most flying of them all. Sure, he can actually fly, but have you seen his mustache? He's also a great all-around character to play with, although he can be tricky to master.

Take Topnotch to the top

Topnotch is a solid mix of speed, agility, and firepower, but it can be difficult to use if you don't perform all of its abilities carefully. With his jet pack, however, he does exceptionally well in all arenas. In vertical arenas, it can easily reach hard-to-reach areas. In more open environments, he can fly and reign terror from above. No matter where you play, you'll always want to use its jet pack to get around. You're also going to always want to use his arsenal of explosive firepower.

  • Bouncy beauty
    • Topnotch's main rocket. Topnotch can fire six of these grenades before needing to reload. It can do a lot of damage easily and quickly. You should shoot them all the time because they can ricochet and hurt people you didn't even know. While you can time the explosion by holding and releasing the main rocket button, we found it to work best just to try and get a direct hit and fire the grenades as quickly as possible. Delaying the explosion often ends up doing nothing at all. These grenades can travel a certain distance, but they form an arc, so keep that in mind when aiming.
  • Artillery salute
    • Topnotch's special ability. This ability summons a line of rockets coming out of you. This ability hits fast and can really disrupt and damage opponents. You don't need to be extremely precise with this ability, as it's best used to catch an enemy that's in the line of fire. Don't worry too much about the rocket line telegraphing the attack, either. They drop quickly and hit hard, although they take a 15-second cool-down before they can be used again.
  • Zephyr Strike
    • Topnotch's secondary ability, yet the most useful. Using this ability allows you to cling to an opponent and unleash a giant rocket strike. It deals tons of damage and is extremely difficult for a targeted enemy to dodge. The main disadvantage of this attack is that it takes about 18 seconds before you can use it again. That said, use it whenever you have the chance to lock down an enemy. If your enemy is in the air when hit, they will "slam" them, causing more damage and disorientation.

Strategies for Knockout / RocketBot Attack

Topnotch can be a particularly effective choice for knockouts if you are comfortable with his arsenal. He can deal a lot of damage and wreak havoc with his awesome firepower. Its jet pack and mobility will also allow you to get out of difficult situations, thus reducing the score of your opponents. Keep in mind, however, if you fly too close to the top of the arena, it may be easier for opponents to knock you out. Don't overload Topnotch's flight capacity to your detriment.

Strategies for Rocketball

Topnotch is - shall we say - a premier rocketball player. If you play with him in this mode, you will want to be the one who collects the ball and scores the goals. With his jet pack, he can easily get up and bypass the noise. If you have a good goal - and depending on the arena - you can just fly as high as you can and throw the ball into the goal.

Strategies for Mega Rocket

Topnotch's strengths are a little less suited to mega rockets. You're not going to fly that much, although his jet pack can help him get to new areas quickly, or get back into action if knocked out. Either way, his arsenal of heavy weapons does wonders for quickly clearing the area of control when multiple opponents crowd the area.

Treasure hunting strategies

Topnotch is just as good at this mode as any of the others. If he gets the treasure chest, he can easily fly to a safe place. During the coin collecting phase, he's great for picking up leftovers that others have missed.

Overall, you can't really go wrong with Topnotch. It takes a while to get used to the best way to use his rockets, but his jet pack is simple to use and simply the best. it does wonders in all game modes and is a great choice for anyone looking to rack up those points for their team.
