More and more forms can now be completed online. For this, companies and administrations use PDF files that can be annotated and signed directly from your computer. You are therefore no longer obliged to print the form, to complete it by hand before scanning it. If you are wondering how to sign a PDF document, then follow this tutorial!

Sign a PDF document

  1. Open the PDF file that you want to sign with Adobe Acrobat Reader. If needed, you can download this software for free here. Then click on the tab Tools. You can also click pencil icon in the right column.



  2. Then click on the Pencil icon named Fill and Sign.

  3. Choose option Moi in the page that appears.

  4. Back on your PDF document, click sign icon in the shape of a fountain pen in the sidebar of the menu.

  5. Click on Add signature.

  6. You can then insert your name in handwriting by completing the field in the Type tab. But it is also possible toaffix a signature on the PDF document by clicking on the Plot tab.

  7. Use your pad or mouse as a pen to create your signature and click on the blue button Apply.

  8. All you have to do is drop the text block containing your signature by simply clicking on the desired location.

Your PDF document is now signed. You can then save it and send it to your recipient to assert what is right!
