Starting with the Radiant Stars Battle Pass, Paladins offers an additional way to purchase champion skins - the Bounty Store. By completing Daily Quests, players earn Coins which can be used to purchase limited-time skins separately from the normal cosmetic store. The price of these skins fluctuates and they only stay in the store while supplies last.
How the Bounty Store works
The Paladins Bounty Store uses the fundamentals of supply and demand in a way that gets skins not just a matter of currency, but also timing. The store only offers one skin at a time, and there is a limited number of copies of this skin that players can purchase. After 72 hours, the skin is replaced with a new one, whether or not all "existing" copies have been sold.
During these 72 hours on the Virtual Shelf, the price of the skin will change in two ways. First, it will continuously decrease over time - the longer the skin is in the store, the more the price will drop. However, as more and more players buy the skin, reducing its virtual availability, the price will also increase.
This has two immediate effects. First of all, some highly sought after skins that the Paladins community loves will go quickly and end up with a higher price tag. Second, the bounty store is unlikely to affect the perception of Exclusive and Rare skins, as their costs will naturally be higher and the amount of copies sold is capped.
How to use the Bounty Store
All you need to do to access the Paladins Bounty Store is link your Hi-Rez account. This feature is also useful in general if you intend to play Paladins or any other Hi-Rez game on different paltforms, as most Hi-Rez titles offer cross play and cross progression.
Once the Bounty Store is available, you need to earn money for it by participating in daily quests. Then just keep an eye on the Bounty Shop to make sure you hook up your desired cosmetic at the perfect time.
