K-Tuin buys Golden Mac

The giant of the distribution of Apple products in Spain expands its network with the purchase of one of the distributors in southern Spain, Golden Mac.

Golden Mac has five stores in southern Spain: two in Seville, one in Cadiz, another in Malaga and one in Badajoz,

K-Tuin has 20 stores of its own in Spain, and the area where it had the least coverage was the south. Golden Mac complements the geographic distribution of K-Tuin stores by providing coverage in the area where it has had the least presence.

It should be remembered that K-Tuin ceased to be a family business in 2018, when a Lebanese technology group, Midis, paid the owners 20 million to take control of the company.

As Expansion said in its day:

The owner of K-Tuin was in advanced talks with a venture capital fund to transfer the business worth close to 45 million. However, the same sources indicate that Apple opposed the entry of a venture capital fund, although it did not specify the reasons. "Finally the price has been lower, given the uncertainty that always exists on the contract he maintains with Apple, which is renewed annually," they underline.
