How to start DLC
Obviously, before we go any further, there will be some major spoilers ahead for the main game of Kingdom Hearts 3. The ReMind DLC begins after the game ends, where Kairi disappeared after the battle with Xehanort. This leads Sora to find a way to go back and save her, which makes you travel through near-end times and face new perils.
Before you do anything else, you need to complete the Kingdom Hearts 3 main story in the game. Once you are done, you need to make sure you have a full save file showing it.
After that, the next step is to purchase the actual ReMind DLC. It costs $ 29,99 and is digital only, with a special version for $ 39,99 that also comes with a gig. You'll still need the base game to play it as well, so insert the disc if you have a physical version instead of digital.
Once you've purchased the ReMind DLC and updated your game to the latest version, start the game as you normally would until you get to the title menu. Instead of selecting Continue or Upload as you usually would at this point, scroll down to the new Downloadable Content option.
After selecting the downloadable content, you will appear in a new menu with a few options. The first of these is ReMind, so select it and then choose your completed save for Kingdom Hearts 3 that you want to use to continue. You will definitely want to choose the one with the highest level and such here, so choose wisely.
Choosing your save here will then start ReMind with a bunch of cutscenes for you to enjoy. Eventually, you'll get into the gameplay and start making your way through the first part of the Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind expansion.
