What is the campaign?

All vendors and factions are unlocked from the start, every playable hero is unlocked from the start, and you're free to work your way. While you can skip the story altogether, the campaign is great and you should definitely play it eventually, even if you choose to start the Avengers initiative first.

Differences between modes

The main difference between Campaign and Avengers Initiative is the numbers of players. The campaign is a solo experience, while the Avengers Initiative is the multiplayer component From the game.
