Armored Mewtwo returns to Pokémon Go in a special event, celebrating Pokémon's 20th anniversary. Pokémon Go fans can expect to encounter clone versions of Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur, and Pikachu, and party hat versions of Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Nidorino, and Gengar. You can only meet Armored Mewtwo on March 1 from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. local time, and that's okay.
Mewtwo's Armored Weaknesses
Armored Mewtwo is a particularly powerful Pokémon with a sturdy defense, making it an ideal choice if you need a sturdy bruiser to do damage against another. It's a pure Psychic-type Pokémon, which makes it weak for Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves.
Pokémon to counter armored Mewtwo
You have a variety of different choices to use against Armored Mewtwo. Your main options include Gengar, Hydreigon, and Tyranitar.

He has great offense, but not that good defense, which means you want to use it when you want to do big damage to an armored Mewtwo, but it won't last too long. You want him to know the licking and shadow ball. Alternatively, you can use one who knows the hexagonal ball and shadow. You want to optimize Gengar's Ghost-type moves, using them so much and quickly to split an armored Mewtwo, but it's uphill combat given Gengar's inferior defense.

When you have Hydreigon in your party, you want him to know the bite and the dark pulse, both of which are dark type attacks. While its attack is greater than its overall defense, you can use it as a stable tank to work against an armored Mewtwo to start with.

Partly that's with Hydreigon having higher damage and more robust defense, especially if he can bite and bite. You want to double the dark type attacks while fighting the armored Mewtwo. It's best to avoid any Rock-type moves on Tyranitar, but if you have one with an alternate Dark-type attack, you might as well give it a shot in combat.
These aren't the only choices you want to use against Armored Mewtwo. Your other options include Chandelure, Giratina, Mewtwo, Escavalier, Scizor, Pinsir, Absol and many more. You might want to pick a decent defensive Pokémon to hold the line against it. If you have a lot of Pokémon that can lower its health, you should be doing exceptionally well with your team.
You can find Armored Mewtwo as a Five Star Raid on March 1 from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m., and you can meet Gengar and Nidorino with party hats in Four and Two Star Raids, respectively. Gengar and Nidorino are also exclusive to this period.
