Pokemon Masters Sync Pair Roles Guide

Trainers in Pokémon Masters come with a unique set of moves and skills when you acquire them. These skills and movements define how you will use them in combat. However, there is a quick and reliable way to find out what kind of sync pair you have and what it will optimize for during a battle. You can see it in the Role part of their stats sheet, but what do the symbols mean?

Syncing Roles in Pokemon Masters Guide

A trainer can be assigned to three different roles: Pokemon Masters. There's the strike symbol, the heart, and then the exclamation mark. They represent Strike, Support, and Tech, respectively. Each provides a different advantage and assists players during a battle. Here's what each of the roles focus on during a battle.

  • Strike: A trainer and Pokemon with its role specialize in attack and special attack during battle. These Pokemon focus on hitting, so they don't have as much health defense.
  • Support: A trainer and a Pokémon with this role have a large amount of health points during a battle. However, they may not have the best attacks. They will likely have a useful capacity that will benefit the whole team.
  • Tech: A trainer and Pokemon with this role will have some form of attack that inflicts a status effect on an opponent. They won't have the best health possible, but their attacks will have a lasting impact on your opponents.

Discovering the correct combination of sync pairs in a team is essential. You don't want to be brawling with three pairs of Strikes because they are insanely squishy and are going to be knocked out in no time. However, you also don't want three support pairs, as while it will take a while for them to drop, they won't do too much damage.

You better have a strict combination of sync pairs. For example, you will find that you will benefit from having a support pair in the intermediate formation, acting as your tank. On the sides, you can choose to have a pair of strikes to deal quick damage, or a strike and technician hitting your opponents with an attack that either deals damage over time or slows them down.

While finding the right combination that works for you can take some time, you want to make sure that you aren't focusing on just one group. Spread your sync pairs and shuffle your team to fight any opponent. Also remember to keep in mind the weaknesses of your opponent's Pokémon.
