How to get to the black market in Spelunky 2
There are very specific steps you need to take to get to the Spelunky 2 Black Market. You need to get the Udjat Eye first. This can be found in the Caves level, and to get it you have to find the Gold Key and then use it in the Hidden Treasure Chest. Unlocking this chest will give you the Udjat Eye. The eye will allow you to see all the jewels and hidden objects in the world, but it also has another secret.
Udjat's Eye blinks when near the Black Market. However, it will not flash until you are in the Jungle area of the game. Once you have your eye, you will need to walk through the cave area. Once you've defeated or escaped the giant Quillback (the big rolling guy) you'll want to head to the lower left exit of 1-4.
Once in the jungle, you'll want to keep your eyes and ears open so that the eye starts blinking and chirping. Once at the black market level, you will see and hear the Eye. At this point you will just need to head in the direction that makes the eye blink and chirp faster. The closer you get to the black market gate, the faster the noise and the eyes will blink. Once you see the eye blinking relatively quickly, if you can't physically see a door in the area, use a bomb… the black market door is probably behind some rocks or some other part of the level.
Once inside the black market, you are free to visit the vendors and purchase any items you want. But beware, the black market is not a safe area.
