Synology launches FS3600, an all-flash storage drive for low-latency, high-bandwidth workloads

Synology Inc. has announced the launch of the new FS3600 storage drive, which joins the FlashStation family of all-flash network attached storage servers. Specially designed for environments requiring low-latency storage, the FS3600 offers over 195.000 4K random write IOPS and can scale up to a maximum of 72 drives. This makes it a cost-effective solution for deploying databases, virtual machines, OLTP, and other sensitive input / output deployments.

"While capacity and scalability have always been important, the demand for faster and more reliable storage solutions has made bandwidth and response times critical for even the most common business applications," said Michael Wang, director of product. by Synology Inc. "The FS3600 is competitively priced and designed to meet the most demanding performance requirements, along with sufficient expandability to meet future storage needs."

More power for mission-critical workloads

With a 12-core Intel® Xeon® processor and support for networks up to 56GbE, the FS3600 is designed to support a wide variety of applications that require high bandwidth and low storage latency. It's ready for virtualization, big data analytics, OLTP, deep learning, and AI training or high-resolution video post-production.

Scalability: up to 72 units (1) 10
Integrated GbE: 2 door 10
GbE and 4 port 1 GbE Support up to 56 GbE: Supports 10/25/40/56 GbE2 add-on cards
Performances: Over 195.000 iSCSI 4K random write IOPS
