gameplay">gameplay

The Outer Worlds is a Sci-Fi first-person shooter action RPG that takes a lot in terms of gameplay">gameplay from Fallout: New Vegas. It's sort of a spiritual successor to the game, and it inherits its established mechanics. But it brings a lot of innovations that don't interfere with the traditional gameplay">gameplay fans love and sets it in a whole new setting with immersive storytelling that makes' 90s movie thrillers feel like Spanish soap operas.

It's truly a story-driven RPG, celebrating this glorious new universe created for the purpose of intrigue. But, this game may also be more robust and more detail-oriented, as Obsidian then had plenty of time in the world to do what they felt was right and not rush its release under pressure. As a result, the game deserves praise for its originality, immersive bug-free gameplay">gameplay, intriguing and exciting storyline, and well-known action shooting.

The Outer Worlds also features a well-known choice aspect, traditionally nurtured by Obsidian in many of their games. They themselves have stated that the central theme of this game is human flaws and what they do or don't do to us. How we wear them and how people around us react. “A compelling hero has flaws,” they say, and we agree, because every immersive experience needs layered characters.

Players will have the chance to lead a group of companions throughout their journey and interact with numerous characters. Interaction is as important a part of this game as shooting the enemy, and each new team member brings their own unique abilities to the table. In addition, your team members are expected to supplement the flaws of the player-controlled character. For example you can have Raptiphobia and in this game you get a debuff when the Raptidons attack you. With the help of the right companion, you can confront the creature and your own fears. On success, your character instantly receives an additional benefit. This is how things work, with the game trying to mimic character development like in a good novel.

Appearence

Outer Worlds reviews praise the games' wit, humor, and writing, but its appearance plays an important role in telling the story to the player. It's a true representation of what most of us would imagine if you thought about how capitalism would infect new planets and places in colonized space. The graphics and modeling are so much like Fallout: New Vegas, the layout being very similar, but it's a bit smoother and feels a bit more in the final word.

Verdict

The Outer Worlds seem to offer everything Obsidian wanted from Fallout: New Vegas, but could not be achieved due to the pressing development time, limited technology at the time, or for other reasons. It brings the traditional gameplay">gameplay and story presentation, with the familiar Fallout spirit and humor. It even brings to mind a similar story of how humanity affects its environment, but it resonates in a new and exciting story that's so rare in games these days. This title is two inches from us!
