Why is the Mr. Krabs voice actor different in Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated?

For fans of the SpongeBob SquarePants TV show, you might be familiar with all the little details about it and have noticed the many references to episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated video game. One notable difference is that Mr. Krabs' voice actor, Clancy Brown, is not in the game, and another actor, Joe Whyte.

Whyte originally did the voice of Mr. Krabs and Mermaid Man for the 2003 version of Bikini Bottom Battle. Whyte has done Mr. Krabs in other video games, such as SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Krabby Patty, SpongeBob SquarePants: Employee of the Month, and SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge. Whenever Brown is unable to fill the character of Mr. Krabs, Whyte is happy to step in and give his voice for the role.
