A giant leap for alchemy - Elemental Crucible Event - Genshin Impact

The Elemental Crucible event started in Genshin Impact, and for most players it will start with the One Giant Step for Alchemy quest. In this article, we'll go over everything you need to know about this new co-op event.

It will run from October 12 to October 19, giving you a full week to reap the rewards you want. You will need to meet the following prerequisites to participate:

  • Have at least Adventur rank 20 or higher
  • completed all quests in A Tearless Tomorrow
  • Complete the One Giant Step for Alchemy quest

A giant leap in alchemy is very easy, you just need to go talk to Timaeu, the alchemist of Mondstadt.

How to play the event

After completing the One Giant Step for Alchemy quest, head to the Temple of a Thousand Winds east of Mondstadt. Interact with the new Elemental Crucible you will find there to begin matchmaking for a co-op event.

The event itself is like a hoard mode, and is not very complicated. You have to kill enemies that will drop elemental clots, then you pick them up and bring them to the elemental crucible. You must fill the crucible before the end of the 15 minute timer.

You can carry up to three clots once, as long as they're of the same elemental type, and picking up a new elemental will cause you to drop whatever you're carrying.

Rewards

The rewards will be tailored to your own world level, and you will need 40 Original Resin to remove them from the crucible when you successfully complete the event.

  • Companion XP
  • Adventurer XP
  • Character XP Materials

You will also have an alchemy manual which you can consult in the Events tab. This will have different challenges to complete to earn an assortment of rewards. You don't need to spend original resin to complete these challenges.
