Ancestors: Human Odyssey - How to Stop Bleeding

One critical thing when playing Ancestors: A Human Odyssey is making sure that you can take care of the little things, such as knowing how to stop the bleeding. When your humanoid takes damage, it's possible that the injury you received was bad enough to require additional intervention. This is how you stop a wound from bleeding.

How to stop ancestor bleeding: the Odyssey of Man

What do you need?

You cannot take just any leaf or branch at random to stop a bleeding wound. You need to find one, called Kapok Fibers. These grow on trees, so you don't want to stay on the ground while looking for them. You want to reach a high vantage point and start examining the tree using your wits to find it.

When you find it, jump on it and grab it. For those new to this, you're going to want to examine it while holding it. This way you will remember it in the future and you can start using it on your wound. Fortunately, as soon as you finish examining it, you can apply it freely to your wound and stop the bleeding. You do not need to crush the plant, apply it to additional tools. You can use it as soon as you find it.

However, there is an additional use for kapok fibers. If you apply it to yourself when you are not bleeding, you can avoid bleeding for a limited time. You might want to do this if you are planning on getting into a dangerous brawl or considering going on a hunt.
