Another trailer just dropped for Death Stranding

As Death Stranding's release date approaches, we're getting more and more familiar with the story and its cast. Yet this is only just starting to make sense and we are still bewildered by the weird and unique world presented to us by Kojima Productions and written by the legendary Mr. Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear series. Not 24 hours ago, Sony Interactive Entertainment, the game's publisher, dropped another trailer, this time a TV commercial, which revealed a bit more of the story.

It was Mr. Hideo who signed the official synopsis of the game, which is available to the public, and who recalled it, created a world in which people live in isolation, behind "walls". The goal of main protagonist Sam Porter Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, is to reestablish the connection between these isolated towns, which already makes this game a unique experience. And, it's an action as the trailers have shown, but a strange action. The story and the gameplay are then closely linked, as explained by Mr. Hideo, the main theme of the game being "Strand" or connection.

The player will have to build a bridge between the divided factions of society, while the presented trailer shows a little more on the background, on how it all came to be. Sam Porter Bridges says it himself: "It's not as easy as it sounds". In fact, he says it when we see people chasing him, the same people who, as he puts it, "tore us apart." This group is known as "Homo Demons". This naturally relates to the mysterious explosions that have occurred in the near past and have affected the planet, as we see in every shot in the game that has been given to us so far.

However, the chain of events on an apocalyptic scale is further deepened by the manifestation of terrifying supernatural events, where ghostly apparitions called “Beached Things” roam the land and are clearly hostile to life. As a result, society no longer exists and people live in isolated and isolated neighborhoods, completely cut off from the other world. This is where the Homo Demons come to play, as they are a group of military separatists who control Edge Knit City. They're the ones chasing Sam in the trailers and, as he points out, may be responsible for the explosions or some of the things that caused the company to come to what it is now.

Death Stranding is slated for release November 8, 2019 and the game is available for pre-order for some time now. It will be released exclusively on PS4. Besides Norman Reedus, the cast also includes Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro and several other famous actors and people working behind the camera. Naturally, in addition to these world events, the game also offers a pretty personal story for our character, Sam, who has so far only been teased ...
