Ghost of Tsushima - The Heavenly Strike Mythical Tales Guide

Find the musician

Every mythical tale of Ghost of Tsushima begins with a musician. They are the ones who will tell Jin the story associated with the Mythic Tale quest and set things in motion. Usually you can hear rumors residents of Tsushima who can mark a musician's location on your map, but if you haven't already located The Heavenly Strike Mythic Tale, you can start it southwest of Temple d’or, just to the right of an area called Brown River Gorge. Talk to the musician to start the quest.

Find the bridge and follow the footsteps

After starting the quest, your next destination will be a pont just a short drive away. Once you reach the bridge you will find a woman. Talk to him to continue the quest. Investigate the surroundings horse tracks and follow them until you reach a Camp mongol. Fortunately, the tracks never deviate from the road, so you won't have to cut through forests or fields. If you lose the tracks at any point, get back on the road. At the camp, defeat the Mongols and talk to the villager.

Then enter the nearby Watchtower et investigate objects on the left side of the room. After speaking to the woman once more, you will be tasked with finding the white leaf tree.

Looking for the white-leaved tree

Ride a horse and follow the wind to your next objective. Once arrived you will reach a survey area. From there you will have to climb the nearby mountain to reach the Plum blossom sanctuary, but the climb is not too difficult. Continue your progress at every opportunity, paying special attention ribs you can use as platforms. At some point you will have to go through a broken bridge and use the exposed support beams to jump to the other side.

Once at the top of the mountain, be sure to honor the shrine before continuing the quest. Then if you look to the right of the shrine you should see the white leaf tree you look for. Jump through the gap towards the white-leaved tree. It might sound treacherous, but Jin will grab one of the handles below if you find yourself running out of jump. After jumping, continue forward and sneak through a space in the rocks. Walk towards the edge and examine the area to find the grove of white trees.

Head to the grove of white trees, following the wind to stay on the right track. Along the way, you will meet a group of Mongols who have taken a hostage. Kill all the Mongols and talk to the hostage to continue the quest.

Repos de Shigenori

It's almost time to learn the Celestial Strike, but there are still a few quest steps to complete. Head toward Repos de Shigenori, using the wind to guide you. As you approach you will encounter a fallen tree which can be used as a makeshift bridge to access Shigenori's Rest. Jin will comment on it too, so it's hard to miss.

Cross the tree and defeat the Mongols who have invaded the area. After killing all Mongols, follow the objective marker to Shigenori's dueling ring to find a bodies. While investigating the scene, Yasuhira Koga will approach you and challenge you to a duel.

Yasuhira Koga Duel

This duel is fairly straightforward, but there are a few things to watch out for. To get started, make sure you have armor equipped that increases your health et solve. Stealth lovers won't help you in a one-on-one duel, so be sure to wear proper armor to ensure your survival.

Here are some more tips on how to beat Yasuhira Koga.

• Play defensively. Block more often than you attack, and only go for strong attacks or long combos when you have a safe opening.
• dodge every time you see a red indicator. These attacks are imblocable, and Koga will be vulnerable for a brief moment if you dodge these attacks.
• Try to parer when you can. You might take damage if you miss the window, but a successful parry will open Koga to attacks.

After almost depleting Koga's health, the game prompts you to use the Heavenly Strike ability. After you hit him with the attack, he will be struck by lightning and you will win the duel. Interact with the nearby corpse to complete the quest. You'll unlock the Heavenly Strike ability for yourself, and you'll also earn the Heavenly Falcon Sword Kit.
