How to play as Boone in Rocket Arena

If we had to pick a favorite character in Rocket Arena, we should probably go with Zik. No, he's not technically one of the contestants, but Boone's trusty pet pterodactyl is adorable. And he's also a great companion for an exceptionally strong character.

Be the best Boone

Boone is quick and strong on his own, but Zik is what really sets him apart from the pack. Along with his flying-dino friend, Boone can quadruple jumping higher than almost anyone else in the game. Zik also allows Boone to float a bit on his decent, which makes this character phenomenal for getting a stance. high in the air then fight from a distance. Fortunately, he is equipped with the arsenal to do so.

  • Blunderblast
    • Boone's main rocket. It is basically a shotgun and does the job very well. It has a large spread which is hard to miss and can do a lot of damage. It only has five shots and they fly fast, so you'll need to reload frequently.
  • Zik's Vortex
    • Boone's special ability. At first, you might think it's not the most effective. Zik's Vortex launches a gust of wind that doesn't do much damage, although it does work to momentarily stun your opponent and knock them back.
    • Zik's Vortex is really helpful in giving Boone an even bigger rocket jump. The vortex naturally pushes Boone backwards, which can confuse opponents, but can be put to good use when pulled at Boone's feet. This will propel him very far in the air very quickly.
    • Add to that the exceptional jumping ability of Boone and Zik and you can have a great time in the air. Most gamers won't be looking at the sky until it's too late.
  • Portée Megadon
    • Secondary Boone Ability. This essentially turns Boone's primary shotgun rocket into a sniper rifle. It reduces your shot to a single strong hit instead of a spread. More importantly, if you're in the air and activate your scope, you'll be able to float for just under four full seconds. Coupled with Boone's ability to launch high into the air with the vortex and his jump ability, this can give you tons of time to take down your opponents from above. The range also makes his shots much more precise. By combining the two abilities of Boone, you can become a real air threat.
    • The Megadon Scope can be used at any time. There is no cooling. You will be out of scope if you release the secondary ability button or need to reload.

Strategies for Knockout / RocketBot Attack

Lots of Rocket Arena characters excel face to face. Not with Boone. If you use it in KO mode, play on its strengths and keep some distance. Get as much air as possible and take out your enemies from afar. They will never know what hit them.

Strategies for Rocketball

Rocketball is where Boone really shines. With his exceptional jumping abilities and fast speed, he's the perfect candidate to get the ball quickly and head straight for the goal. If necessary, he can still fly and throw it that far. We strongly recommend that you use it for this mode; slower, more earthy characters don't stand a chance.

Strategies for Mega Rocket

Because Boone is best used when mobile, he's not exactly suited for scoring points in Mega Rocket. That said, if you choose to play with him in this mode, it's best to use him as an offensive player, taking out opponents while the rest of your team takes control of the missile areas and scores points.

Treasure hunting strategies

Much like in Rocketball, Treasure Hunt was practically made for Boone. Holding the treasure chest eliminates your ability to use Zik's Vortex, but you'll still have exceptional jump ability to move around the arena. Picking up coins with him is also a snap.

Overall, Boone is a quick and fun character to play with. He does incredibly well in all modes, but especially in Rocket Ball and Treasure Hunt. Master it and be a real boon to your team!
