How to use the advanced telegram search

Telegram is constantly adding new features, and we're not just referring to the revolution that video calling has been since, among other useful features recently added, you can now use the Advanced Search, very useful when we need to find a specific message among hundreds of messages that can be in a chat, group or channel.

La advanced Telegram search includes filters that allow you to find messages using different parameters, so what you describe.

How Telegram's advanced search works

As we have already said, it is possible to use different parameters or filters to find messages and different filters can also be combined to have a more specific search.

The filters of Advanced Search I'm:

Gender

La advanced Telegram search includes new tabs Chat, Media, Links, News, Music and Voice. Through them we can specify the type of message we are looking for.

The types of messages we can filter are:

Chat: with the chat filter we can search by contact and by date.

The screen will show us a line with the profile picture of each contact and the most recent chats below. By specifying a date, it will show us a list of all the chats of the day or month that we have written in the search bar, including secret chats.

Media: this filter allows us to search among the images that have been sent to us attached to a message and that are saved.

If we write a specific date, the name of a month or the word «Yesterday», the advanced search will show us a list with the chats of that date that contain multimedia files.

link: allows us to reduce the search to messages that contain links. As in the previous filters, we can further narrow the search by entering a date or the name of the contact or group who sent us or to whom we sent the message.

This is how the tabs for filtering messages appear by "Chat", "Media" or "Link"

File: through this tab we can filter all messages that contain attached files, whether they are documents, images, etc.

Music: this filter allows us to search among all messages that contain an attached audio file, it can be a podcast, a musical theme or some other file with the audio format.

Voice: from the voice tab we can filter all the files that contain voice messages. By specifying a contact name or a date we further narrow the search.

These are the tabs to search for messages for "File", "Music" and "Voice".

Time frame

This filter allows us to search for messages by specifying the date, for example September 16, 2020, August 2020 or simply by putting "Yesterday".

Another possibility is that of combine several filters, for example by using a filter by date together with a filter for voice messages. So we can indicate that we are looking for a voicemail received on April 10th.

Fontana

We can filter the messages received based on the source, for example by indicating the person's name who sent it to us, if the message comes from a group we can write the group name in the search engine, the same in the case of a channel or a bot.

Undoubtedly the advanced Telegram search it will be very useful, we can also combine different filters to make searches even easier. For example, we can indicate that we are looking for link messages sent in December 2019 that contain the word "party".
