Low Budget Expenses for Hunt: Showdown

Before you send one of your precious hunters out to fight for Hunt: Showdown bounties, you need to equip them for the job. This process can often be a stressful balancing act of giving them enough material to make sure they get things done… but not so much that you break down if they don't make it home. Loadouts aren't an exact science, and most players have their own ideas of what is and isn't worth getting involved in a mission. That said, there are a few very reliable low budget loads in Hunt: Showdown that will cover all of your bases on the cheap.

Hachette Romero 77 + Nagant M1895 Precision

The Hachette is an unsubtle weapon that can work miracles up close. From a strictly budget perspective, bringing a battle ax or machete alongside a regular Romero is cheaper. However, combo weapons make fights need to be faster and more intuitive, and that matters a lot in this game. So grab that hatchet for $ 62 and don't look back.

At $ 29, the Nagant Precision is the third cheapest pistol in the game, and it has slight advantages over the other two, which will make up for the Romero's shortcomings. He's decently accurate from a distance, and he shoots quickly so he can hold his own as well. If you really want to save money, you can take the $ 26 Caldwell Conversion instead. Don't settle for the base Nagant M1895 - it's infinitely worse than the Precision, while being only $ 5 cheaper.

Springfield 1866 Compact Striker + nothing

This Springfield model does it all, and it does it on a budget. At $ 56, the Striker is among the cheapest long-term options you can get in Hunt: Showdown, and arguably the most flexible. It deals with monsters easily and has slightly better penetration and damage than the ever popular Winfields. If you're playing solo, you can drop $ 33 on a second Springfield Compact for quick swaps and a bigger ammo pool.

The final touch

Regardless of your choice of cargo, you should always bring a first aid kit. One of them costs you $ 30, and if you play well, that's all you'll need. With the Doctor and Frontiersman traits equipped, you can potentially recover up to 400 HP in a game - for yourself or a friendly hunter. If you manage to extract, you save the first aid kit for your next hunt.

Finally, consider buying a pack of Rockets. They can quickly make up to three flammable monsters work for just $ 10, while still providing modest utility. This item is by no means a must-have, but it's just too cheap to give up.
